Beer Cocktails: Hokkaido Beergarita


With Valentine’s Day (as well as National Margarita Day) coming up in the next few weeks, we thought it would be fun to share our Beergarita recipe to spice up that date night or party.


  • 6 oz Hokkaido Fruit Beer (Lemon or Yuzu work best)

  • 1 oz agave nectar

  • 2 ounces Blanco or Reposado Tequila

  • 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice

  • 1 lime wedge, for garnish

  • crushed Ice

  • salt and lemon or lime zest for rimming glass


If rimming the glass, mix together salt and lime zest on a small plate. Wet the outside rim of the glass with water and press moistened edge into the salt/lime zest mixture.

Add the tequila, agave and lime juice to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Add the beer, then strain into a goblet filled with ice. Garnish with a lime wedge and serve.
